Hans Anders and the Nationaal Fonds Kinderhulp have launched a unique collaboration to support children in the Netherlands growing up in poverty. For these children, owning a pair of glasses is often not a given, even though good vision is essential for their development, school performance, and social life. That’s why Hans Anders is donating 400 pairs of glasses to children aged 2 to 17 whose parents cannot afford them.
In the Netherlands, hundreds of thousands of children grow up in families experiencing financial stress. This often means there is no money for basic necessities like a bike, clothing, a bed—or a pair of glasses. The lack of proper vision can have serious consequences, such as difficulties keeping up in school or participating in social activities.
“At Hans Anders, we make good vision accessible and affordable for everyone because it contributes to equal opportunities in society,” says Bart van den Nieuwenhof, CEO of nexeye. “By partnering with Kinderhulp, we can ensure that children receive the glasses they need but otherwise wouldn’t have access to.”
Kinderhulp supports families with practical solutions for children in need. Thanks to this collaboration with Hans Anders, hundreds of children will receive glasses that will enable them to look ahead to the future with clarity and confidence.
Ilse van Voogd from Kinderhulp emphasizes: “Good vision makes a difference in every aspect of life—in the classroom, for health, and for future opportunities. Together with Hans Anders, we give children the chance to fully participate in society.”
Through this partnership, Hans Anders and Kinderhulp are creating a visible difference in the lives of hundreds of children—a difference that can positively impact their future.
